About Kim: I am a NARM Certified Professional Midwife with a rapidly growing private practice as a Weatherford based midwife also serving the greater North Texas area, including Dallas/Fort Worth. I offer skilled, loving, customized care with options that include home birth, birth center birth, water birth, VBAC, and more. I am a Weatherford/Parker County native and am particularly delighted to serve women of the area and its rural surrounds, but am honored to give care to families that have traveled 100+ miles as well. I have served satisfied families from such distances as Itasca, Garland, Irving, Graham, Wichita Falls and more, and I have privileges at several DFW area birth centers to be able to offer families in my care as many options as possible. |

Why I am a midwife:
The calling of midwifery and the practice of that calling, is the inevitable culmination of a passion for knowledge and service regarding pregnancy, birth, and women's health which has been woven into the very fabric of my life for as long as I can remember. To serve and bear witness during one of the most beautiful passages of life, birth of a family, is a gift I treasure. I was chosen for this work, waited years for the season to arrive as I cared for my own family, and grow more amazed and humbled at the miracle with each passing day. I strongly believe in the traditional midwifery model of care and core competencies as developed by MANA, and feel that education and information of those in my care to be a key role. |

*Comprehensive, highly individualized, family centered prenatal, labor and birth, and post partum care through 6-8 weeks after the birth, encompassing the full childbearing cycle. * * In home prenatal visits available* *Focused, hands-on labor and birth support* * Breastfeeding support-via phone or in person.* * Preconception/infertility support and counseling, including reading/helping with FAM/NFP charts for achieving pregnancy. * *Gentle, holistic approach with emphasis on nutrition and natural health, utilizing herbal and homeopathic solutions when needed to naturally heal and support the body. * *Parenting and family support. * *Referrals and local support recommendations * * Fertility Awareness Classes-for pregnancy or child spacing; includes learning to use a fertility microscope and what your fertility signs can tell you about your overall health. *
